Batiks to play with!

Yesterday the mailman brought me some new batiks. These are one of my favorite fabrics, I love all fabrics some just alittle more than others! I went on a spree at EQuilter when they had their sale at Christmas and brought some new batiks. I sure got a wide variety and can't wait to play with them! I of course have no idea what I will be using them for, we will see what the muse has in mind! Cleaned up the room I have to sew in today, using (new to me) Ziplock storage totes. In case you haven't heard of them they are the heavy duty plastic with a zipper and handles and come in two sizes. Perfect for storing fabrics and other fun things. You can see through them so that makes them another plus in my book. A little on the expensive side I think, but my storage space is limited and these are softsided so easier to deal with. Did you get snow in your part of the world today? We were lucky and our "dusting" didn't even happen!! The sun is out as you can see in the picture of the fabrics. Hoping to work some more on the black and white block with the fan on it. I want to straighten up the top piece above the fan and then add some curved pieces around it for the rest of the Jan CQI challenge. Have a great weekend my friends!
