~~~New Bag~~~

First let me share with you the new pillow I covered for DD. It is a large floor pillow that had red/gold Asian brocade fabric on it. I decided to take it off and add this new print to it so it would go in the living room and I could use it to prop my legs on while I stitch. Works great and looks so much better.

Now for the bag that I made today. Turned out cute don't ya think?? The lining is a bright aqua batik that you can just barely see in the right upper band by the pin. Pockets inside match the main fabric so it is bright and fun inside and out!!  The pattern called for a button, but nothing in the button box seemed to work except for this great vintage pin. The pink looks much better with it in person than it does in this picture. Feels good to have a chance to get something made,seems I haven't been too productive this week.

I have been working with the fabrics below to try to find the ones that were right for my Crazy Quilt class from SitchMap! Shari (my mentor) and I have finally agreed on these. I can't wait to get them going. I will be making a pincushion, a needle book and I think a needle roll with them. Three different shapes, that will then get embellished and finished. Shari has been so patient with me and talked to me several times this week to try to get through my thick head the concept of size of print, TOT and other info on fabric choices. DD is back at the police acedemy for the beginning of week 6, only 3 more to go after this!! I hope that all of you have a terrific and creative week!!
