I am so excited to have finished Lesson 7 in my online CQ class at StitchMap!!! The end is in sight, Lesson 8 is the completion of the class. The top picture is going to be the top of an Altoid Tin.
Next is the needleroll. The poor thing has been redone and reworked. Finally I think I am done with it.
The third picture will be a round pincushion. I am still thinking about adding more embroidery to that heart that I threw on there but for lesson purposes it is done. The last picture is a needlebook. The SRE was the last addition along with the year and the tiny butterfly.
Now I am waiting for Lesson 8 which will be the instructions on how to put these pieces together. So the next time you see these pieces they will be completed.
I have to work on a one stitch callenge now for StitchMap. I had started this before and now we are going to finish it up. I of course can't find the last piece that I did. All of the practice pieces are laying here...LOL So back to rework some of the last challenge and on to the final one.
My other idea for a piece of emboidery is to find a line drawing of a cat and work it up in thread painting. I love cats and have no idea why I haven't thought to do a cat before.

Hi Karen, cats are fun to stitch. There were 3 or 4 on the ATC I did for CQ4Newbies swap. Alice ended up getting it. There's a pic in my album. I've been plotting to do a bigger piece with several cats. So great minds think alike. Hope you and DH are settled in now. Luv as always

I have one suggestion for he heart. Have you thought of winding a pretty vine around the heart then ecoating it with little fargo roses or any other little flowers. French knots made with silk ribbon would also look good.
