Wicker Wonder

One of my favorite things is Wicker!! If it is white it is even better!! Sunday DD left for two weeks of drill with her National Guard unit and after I dropped her off I headed out to the flea market. My big find of the DAY!!!! White wicker!! I was so thrilled to find thid grouping and so I asked the price and he said he wanted $120 for the set and I was seriously thinking about it when he said he would mkae me a deal. I asked what the deal was and he said all of it for $95. I couldn't get to the ATM fast enough!!! Then the fun comes, I loaded all of the pieces with his help into my car, PT Cruiser convertible.  Do you remember the Beverly Hillbillies?? I know I am dating myself, but I am sure that is what I looked like as I drove home ! I wish I had thought to take pictures but I didn't, I ws so excited and couldn't wait to get it in the house!

I have added a pillow covered in vintage fabric to the seat of the chair and folded a quilt to lay in the back of it. The chair is now at the dining room table and works perfect there. The vanity is in the master with a vintage embroidered scarf on it and my antique mirrors and comb. The table is still homeless but I am sure I will find it a home. See those cute crocheted pansies on the table (using it to dry them after washing them up)?? They were in a bag at an antique store in Ohio for $1, couldn't pass them up, they will be beautiful additions to my Crazy Quilting.

Have a Blessed week!!

  1. AWESOME find Karen! You have the best luck!

  2. I LOVE white wicker and the pieces you found are in such beautiful shape! We've been trying to find a rocker for my mother to no avail.

  3. So very pretty Karen! Sweet vanity.
Isin't it such a thrill to find something you LOVE for your home? Then at a bargain price too!
I know I get so tickled when that happens to me!

  4. Great deal! I like white wicker BUT it's not my style. IF I had a big house (like the one I own is not big enough LOL) I would decorate one porch in white wicker. You know it's the one next to the arboretum? HEhehe!

  5. Congrats! What a great buy! You could've paid more than that for the chair! Now, just where is this flea market?

Glad you stopped by! Talk to me!!
